| Rev. Dr. Jonathan H. Wilson, President
Rev. Dr. Jonathan H. Wilson has been employed or closely connected with the The Turner Foundation (formerly the Rose Garden Village Foundation) since 1962. Rev. Wilson is a practical and effective communicator who has taught in churches and Seminaries since 1969. He is an experienced administrator with more than 30 years administering multi-staff churches, as well as the former Rose Garden Village retirement properties. Rev. Wilson is a skilled co-teacher (with his wife Patty) on principles of parenting, marriage and aging. Rev. Wilson can often be heard as a radio commentator—and hosted talk shows in Southern California for eight years. He has written a regular newspaper column for four different newspapers since 1980. In addition to his responsibilities as President of the Board and Associate Director of The Turner Foundation, Rev. Wilson has been Head of Staff at Canoga Park Presbyterian Church since 2000. Rev. Wilson and his wife, Patty, have been married for 41 years and have three grown children and five grandchildren.

Dr. Jonathan Hess, Vice President Dr. Jonathan Hess has been a personal mentor and confidant to business executives since 1980. From 1999-2004, Jon served as a Chair with TEC, an international organization of CEO’s with over 6,000 members in the United States. In this capacity he worked with leaders of companies to increase their competitive advantage through intensive personal and professional development. Dr. Hess received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from USC and served as Vice President and Dean of Students at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, from 1979 to1989. While at Westmont he developed a unique four-year leadership development program for undergraduates. During that time he was also part of a team which included members of the United States Congress that founded the National Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values in Washington, D.C. In the past three years Jon developed and trademarked the Burgess Strategic Fingerprint, a proprietary tool for assessing a company’s strategic focus. He is fluent in Spanish, and his work in personal development and strategic decision-making has provided for extensive travel throughout Latin America. Dr. Hess is married with three children ages 17, 23, and 26, and resides in Santa Barbara.

Father Michael Manning,Director Father Michael Manning is a Catholic priest whose unique ministry is television. Presently he is seen nationally on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. His program is a regular on the Armed Services Network as well. He is seen on Catholic diocesan cable networks in Boston, Detroit, Scranton, Brooklyn-Queens, Fresno and Youngstown. In 1978 he began the nationally syndicated weekly program. His goal is to present Catholic perspectives on life's issues, mend bridges between denominations and religions, champion the causes of the poor and disenfranchised, interview both celebrities and little known people whose faith and life offer strong inspiration and bring fresh and exciting insights into the Bible. He has appeared as a regular guest commentator on CNN’s Larry King Live, as well as making guest appearances on Nancy Grace, The Leeza Show, The Montel Williams Show, The 700 Club, The Phil Donahue Show, Hard Copy, Helpline, Real People, and Today's Religion. He was a regular guest on the popular radio program Religion on the Line on KABC in Los Angeles. He also appeared with Robert DeNiro in the film, Guilt by Suspicion. For seven years, Father Manning wrote a weekly column for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. Father Manning is the author of several books and booklets, including: Pardon My Lenten Smile!, Proclaimed from the Rooftops, Life Full of Surprises, On Camera and Off, Questions and Answers for Today's Catholics and How Do I Forgive Myself? Soon to be published is his latest book: 15 Faces of God. He has degrees in Philosophy and Theology plus an M.F.A. in play writing. As the President of WORDNET PRODUCTIONS, he works for his religious community's western province- the Society of the Divine Word. He is the pastor of the St. Anthony Parish in San Bernardino, California.

Mr. Daniel G. Aldrich IV, Director
Mr. Daniel G. Aldrich IV is a Senior Account Executive at American Communications, LLC. in Santa Barbara, California. Prior to joining American Communications, Mr. Aldrich was the Director of Strategic Alliances for Somera Communications--another leader in the telecommunications equipment industry. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UCLA, which he followed with work as a legislative aide to Rep. Richard Hastings (WA) and as a Campaign Aide to California State Senator Bruce McPherson. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of The Turner Foundation—Mr. Aldrich also chairs the Santa Barbara Prayer Gathering Commission (a commission of The Turner Foundation). In addition, Mr. Aldrich is involved with Rotary International. An avid sports fan with a continued devotion to UCLA athletics, Mr. Aldrich’s diverse interests also include reading, surfing, golf, and basketball. |
Mr. Ross Porter, Director
Mr. Ross Porter has been married to his wife, Lin, for 46 years. They have four children (two sets of twins), all of whom are college graduates and married. The Porters have 14 grandchildren. Lin and Ross are deacons at Westminster Presbyterian church in Westlake Village, California--and organized a couples Bible study in 1987 which still meets every month. Mr. Porter volunteered at the Motion Picture Home for 22 years, and the Porters serve on the advisory board of Stillpoint Resources, a non-profit foundation formed by their son, Dr. Ross Porter. Mr. Porter was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and at the age of 8, decided that he wanted to be a sportscaster. He never changed his mind—and his dream came true when at 14, he went on the air at the local radio station. He was broadcasting high school football and basketball, and minor league baseball before his high school graduation at 16. He then attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned a degree, majoring in radio journalism. He then worked at WKY radio and television in Oklahoma City as a radio newsman and television sports anchor. He was voted Oklahoma Sportscaster of the Year at the age of 24, and again the next year. In 1966, Mr. Porter took a job at KNBC-TV in Los Angeles and spent ten years as a sports anchor on the 6 PM and 11 PM news. He won a local Emmy, announced NFL games for seven years on NBC, and began 25 years of broadcasting college basketball on radio and television, 19 of those with the University of Nevada Las Vegas. The 1990 UNLV team won the NCAA championship. In 1976, Mr. Porter left KNBC to join the broadcasting team of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers went to the World Series in each of his first two seasons and in three of the initial five. They won world championships in 1981 and 1988. Porter is the only man to announce the games of both a World Series winner and a national collegiate basketball champion. In 1989, Mr. Porter set a major league baseball record when he broadcast all 22 innings of a Los Angeles-Montreal game – by himself. The game lasted six hours and 14 minutes. Mr. Porter won his second Emmy in 2001 for his coverage of the Dodgers, and was inducted into the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame on January 31, 2005. He had been on the air in Los Angeles for 38 uninterrupted years at the time – 28 of those with the Dodgers. The Porters have resided in Calabasas Park since 1977.
