Youth Programs
Our overall vision for our youth programs is to seek holistic health in the lives of the kids we are blessed to know. This begins with building relationships with students and meeting them where they are. We hope through these relationships to learn the true needs of each kid, that we might intercede in prayer and in action to help bring God's peace in their families, in their education, in their health, in their friendships.
We believe in teaching what the Bible says about God's love in the world and what that means for our lives. But even more importantly, we believe in modelling this love through discipleship and steadfastly helping each student along the narrow way toward God. We also believe in empowerment, that by giving students responsibility and helping them to see their importance in community, they will rise up to fulfill their potential.
Oasis is a discipleship group for high school guys and girls. We hope to make it a place where youth can talk about the real issues they are faced with and learn what God love has to say about us, our lives, and our community.
Mirror is a Bible study for 5th-8th grade girls. At Mirror, girls have the opportunity to hear what God's Word says about who we are, the identity God has given us, and how we can be a reflection of His love in the world.
ManTalk is a Bible study for 5th-8th grade boys. We are seeking together to discover what it means to become men who honor God with our hearts, minds, and friendships.
Girl Talk is a discipleship group for 3rd-6th grade girls, mainly from the Carrillo Apartments. Girls at GirlTalk are learning what healthy relationships look like and how we can love each other in light of God's love for us.
