💵 $27/hour
The Turner Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven TAY Program Administrative Assistant to join our team supporting Transitional-Age Youth (TAY)—young adults ages 18 to 24 navigating housing instability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, systems thinking, and wants to make a tangible impact in the lives of youth experiencing homelessness.
As the backbone of our transitional housing program operations, you’ll help ensure accurate data tracking, smooth grant management, and consistent program documentation across all five Foundation Houses. You’ll work closely with our Director of Programs, Grant Manager, and Chief Operations Officer to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the services we provide.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management: Maintain accurate, confidential records using HMIS, Salesforce, and SAGE
Grant & Contract Oversight: Support grant tracking, drawdowns, and reporting
Invoicing & Documentation: Process invoices, maintain financial records, support budgeting
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure program meets HUD and local requirements
Team Coordination: Serve as a key admin support to case managers, housing navigators, and resident assistants
Mission Support: Help advance the Turner Foundation’s work through development, fundraising, and special events
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (social work, psychology, counseling, etc.)
1+ year experience working with transitional-aged youth or similar populations
Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
Familiarity with housing programs, rental assistance, and compliance standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Cultural competence and a heart for serving vulnerable populations
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Work Environment
In-person role based in Santa Barbara, CA
Light physical activity (walking, lifting, driving) required
Background check, TB test, and physical required prior to start
