Why We Fill Baskets Every November

Our Thanksgiving Basket Drive provides holiday support for low-income families by delivering complete Thanksgiving meals to every resident across our communities. What began as an ambitious vision to serve 112 families has grown into an annual tradition providing over 550 meals, with each basket featuring a handwritten note of encouragement that turns a simple food delivery into meaningful human connection. This community-wide effort brings together volunteers from local churches like Oceanhills, staff members, and residents themselves, creating multigenerational partnerships that exemplify the true spirit of Thanksgiving: gathering people together through acts of care, preparation, and service that build lasting friendships one doorstep at a time.
